Josephine Dolores Scotchel, 83, of Westover, passed away at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Oct. 30, 2019, with her family by her bedside.
Josephine was born in Parkersburg, on April 6, 1936, to the late Joseph Anthony Meo and Genevieve Thelma Bennett Meo.
Josephine was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School. She was Catholic by faith and loved jazz, blues, singing and cruises. She worked at Ruby as a sitter and earlier had sold cars in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Josephine is survived by her sons, Tony Joseph Scotchel and Reno Vincent Scotchel, both of Westover; brother, Dominick Frank Meo, of Parkersburg; and best friends, Susie Rasel, Toni Warren and Yvette Mathison.
In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Scotchel.
Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. A funeral service will be held for Josephine at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, with Father Walt Jagela officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
