KINGWOOD — A Bretz man pleaded guilty Monday to charges of grand larceny, conspiracy and receiving or transferring stolen property.
Justin James Blosser, 30, made the plea under a plea agreement and faces three to 25 years in prison.
Blosser, Willard James Thomas III and Steven Keith Waybright were indicted by the June grand jury on charges of ATV thefts.
Preston Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Megan Allender said the trio was believed to be part of a multi-state ATV theft ring.
“The ring stole motorcycles and ATVs,” Allender said. “I can’t say every officer or victim has agreed with this plea bargain.”
She said a trailer and bike were stolen in Marion County and two bikes in Preston County.
When asked about the thefts, Blosser said he didn’t know who took the bike and trailer in Marion County, but admitted taking one of the two bikes stolen in Preston County.
As part of the plea agreement, Blosser agreed to testify against his co-defendants and pay restitution.
Sentencing for Blosser was scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Dec. 16. A plea hearing will be held at 11 a.m. today for Waybright. He and Thomas also were originally scheduled to appear in court Monday.
A trial date is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 3 for Thomas.
