Willard Carl Miller Sr., 71, of Kingwood, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at his home with family by his side.
He was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Kingwood, a son of the late Willard R. and Wilma Lula Wilson Miller.
Mr. Miller was a U.S. Army veteran and was a truck driver at Greer Limestone for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Winston Miller; his son, Willard C. (Rusty) Miller Jr. and wife, Serena, of Monks Corner, S.C.; his daughters, Misty Kay Riley and husband, Brent, of Orrtanna, Pa., and Joy Miller, of Kingwood; his brothers, Tommy Paul Miller and wife, Chickie, of Uniontown, Pa., and Joseph R. Miller and wife, Barbara, of Kingwood; his sister, Charlene Everly, of Masontown; his grandchildren, Dusty, R. J., Kaitlyn, Buddy, Boone and Kaylyn; his beloved dog, Bebe and his grand pup, Cherrie.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Sky.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 3-7 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 30, when a service of remembrance will begin. At Mr. Miller’s request, Browning Funeral Home will provide cremation services following the service. On Thursday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. a military graveside will be accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG military funeral honors at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
