Richard W. Bell Sr., 86, of Eastlake, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at Mount Saint Joseph, in Euclid.
Born May 11, 1933, in Independence, he lived in Lake County for more than 60 years.
He was a United States Army veteran and was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Willoughby for 30 years.
Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Jacqueline M. (Albers) Bell; children, Richard W. Bell Jr. (Tina Piszczor) and Deborah M. (Allen) Mullen; grandchildren, Richard W. (Jacqui) Bell III, Brett W. Bell (Jennifer), Kurt W. Bell, Daniel A. (Chanda) Mullen, Elizabeth O. (Sean) Collins and Ethan D. Mullen (Alyssa); great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Landon Bell, Rowan Mullen and Olivia Collins; and brother, John F. (Jackie) Bell Jr. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families; brother-in-law, Claude Brady and sister-in-law, Ruth Bell and his former daughter-in-law, Coleen Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Edna O. (Shrader) Bell; sister, Nancy Brady; and brother, Fred Bell.
Services for Mr. Bell will be at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. The Rev. Michael J. Currier of the Body of Christ Community Church will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
