Harold Wayne Foy, 79, passed away peacefully in his home, Oct. 23, 2019, in Palm Coast, Fla.
Harold was born Nov. 17, 1939, in the coal mining community of Canyon, outside of Morgantown.
Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army for 9 and a half years and was honorably discharged in July of 1967.
He retired from Monongahela Power Co. (Fort Martin Station) on Jan. 1, 2000.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Taft Foy and Della Grace (Thomas) Foy, as well as a brother, Don Leslie Foy.
Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian Gay (Whisler) Foy; and two sons, Michael Kent Foy and wife, Robin Lynn Foy, of Palm Coast, Fla., and Robert Wayne Foy and wife, Christie Lea Foy, of Winfield. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Heather Marie Foy, Helmick and Jacob Robert Foy; his step-grandchildren, Brooke Kenny and Madison Reese; and a great-step-granddaughter, Madeline Constantine. Harold is also survived by his sister, Donna Marie Gidley and her husband, Dennis, of Bell, Fla.; several nephews and nieces and many first cousins who were special to his life.
Harold was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Per his request, no services will be held.
Arrangements and cremation are handled in the care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
