Ricky Lee Anderson, 65, of Westover, passed away at his residence Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. Ricky was born Jan. 12, 1954, in Morgantown, and was a son of the late Cline B. Anderson and the late Merle Louise Riskey Anderson.
He is survived by his former spouse and best friend, Colleen Anderson, of Westover; his two sons, Travis Anderson and his companion, Jane Sharak, of Core, and Mike Dewitt and his wife, Heather, of Morgantown; three stepchildren, Arlene Clemsic and husband, Jason, of Waldorf, Md., Christina Millican and companion, Joe Buncic, of Smithfield, Pa., and Kenny Prisock, at home; a grandson, Travis Anderson Jr.; four stepgrandchildren, Brittani Thompson and husband, Kenny, of Westover, Austin Tennant, of Morgantown, Kami Clemsic, of South Carolina, and Jay Clemsic, of South Carolina; two brothers, Larry Anderson and wife, Patty, of Tennessee, Terry C. Anderson, of Morgantown; a sister, Merlene King and husband, Mike, of Morgantown; and his faithful companion, Peanut.
Ricky was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Eddie Millican; and a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh. Ricky was a simple person who enjoyed the simple things in life — sitting outside listening to old records, spending time on the back porch with his best friend, Brian Shinkovich or talking about anything and everything with his nephew, Anthony Rose or special family friend, Frank Swanger. He was a sports fan and enjoyed following Steelers football. But more than anything, he was a devoted companion, and tireless caregiver to his stepson, Kenny.
Ricky’s request to be cremated has been honored. A service to celebrate his life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Professional services are being provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover/Morgantown.
