Clothing drive taking donations of ‘lightly loved’ women’s items through Friday

Sometimes finding the right clothes is the most difficult part of getting to work on time.

The VISTA Collaboration at West Virginia University and West Virginia Women Moving Forward partnered to try to make that a little easier.

The two entities are hosting a Ready for Work clothing drive ahead of National Make a Difference Day, which is Oct. 26.

Now through Friday, the initiative is collecting donated lightly loved women’s items purchased within the past five years with no stains, holes or tears.

The drive will connect local nonprofit agencies with in-demand professional items to help West Virginians secure a job or stay at work. Donations will be provided to Christian Help, Starting Points Family Resource Center and United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.
