MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — After sustaining an injury to his chest last Saturday against Iowa State, it appears WVU quarterback Austin Kendall will make the start against his former school, Brown said Thursday during his weekly radio show.
“Barring any changes over the next 48 hours, he will line up behind center on Saturday,” Brown said.
If Kendall cannot go, the offensive coaches said a plan was in place, hinting that Trey Lowe may get playing time. Jack Allison filled in for Kendall when he left against the Cyclones.
“We’re evaluating all things,” Brown said. “Our run game has been a struggle this year. You’re always looking for solutions.”
