Robert R. Collins, 74, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Preston County on March 13, 1945, a son of the late Marvin and Edna (Baker) Collins.
Bob was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Greer Industries. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved animals, especially cats and often took in sick and injured animals. He enjoyed watching and feeding wildlife.
Bob is survived by two sons, David G. Collins and wife, Billi Jo, of Masontown, and Ronald W. Collins and wife, Tina, of Kingwood; a daughter, Michele A. Koch and husband, John of Smock, Pa.; a stepson, Lester G. Sisler, of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Amanda D. Sisler DeBarr and husband, Tyler, of Reedsville; five grandchildren, Cord Collins, Levi Collins, Randy R. Collins, Breanna D. Collins and PFC Michael Collins; two stepgrandchildren, Colton DeBarr and Ashlynn DeBarr; one great-grandchild, Bentley “Clyde” Collins; a brother, Paul Collins, of Reedsville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna A. (Turner) Collins; second wife, Phyllis Jean (Wilhelm) Collins; a sister, Sandra “Chick” Westfall; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Westfall; a half brother Denny Arnold; and a nephew, Jim Collins.
Friends may call at Field Funeral Home, in Masontown, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Masontown.
