Eugene B. Murray Sr., 68, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at his home, following a brief illness.
Born Nov. 8, 1950, in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Charles “Biddie” and Ola (Wolfe) Murray.
An apostolic by faith, he was employed as a security guard at a number of locations in the area. Eugene served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict, was a faithful member of the Point Marion Volunteer Fire Department for the last 10 years, and enjoyed hunting in his spare time.
Surviving is his wife Karen (Nicholas) Murray; children, Eugene Jr. and his companion, Joanna Hagner, Paul Murray, Thara Murray, Emily Shipp Josephine Shipp and Ally Murray, all of Point Marion; grandchildren, Angel, Destiny, Alaina and Sean; a brother, Roy Murray, of Morgantown; sister, Maxine Cole, of Dawson, Pa.; and a number of special loving nieces and nephews and many friends.
Deceased is one grandson, Eddie Hagner.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at the Summers Cemetery, Morgantown, at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, with his nephew, Darrell Murray officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
