Sarah F. “Flame” Wood, 86, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Milford “Dutch” and Hazel (Lewellyn) Spacht.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Denver D. Wood; a sister, Dorothy “Pete” (Spacht) Myers; a brother, Melvin Nicholas; a brother-in-law, C. Robert “Bob” Ryan; two nieces and a nephew.
Surviving are her children, Tammy A. Wise, with whom she made her home, and Tara L. Sapp and husband, Robbie, of Point Marion, Pa.; three sisters, Arlene (Spacht) Ryan, of Upper St. Clair, Pa., Shirley (Spacht) Hough, of Cheat Lake, and Carol “Kay” (Spacht) Dean, of Point Marion; her three grandsons, who she loved dearly, James “Jimbo” Wise III and Carolyn Friend, of Lake Lynn, Pa., Joshua Sapp and Emilee Jo Beatty, of Smithfield, and Hunter Sapp, of Point Marion; as well as many more nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Fletcher Cemetery, in Cheat Lake, at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
