Wanda Eileen Harmon, 74, of Oakland, Md., passed away Thursday Oct. 3, 2019, at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Albright, W.Va. on Nov. 4, 1944, a daughter of the late Chester Floyd Wilhelm and Mabel Arlene (Stone) Wilhelm.
Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking, canning, sewing, crafting and gardening. She worked for many years at Bausch and Lomb, Alpine Lake Resort and the Dairy Queen.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Renee Walls and Michael of Fairmont, and Lisa Faye Carr and Joey of Oakland, Md.; two sons, Joseph Andrew Harmon and Barbara of Swanton, Md. and Richard Allen Harmon and Jeremy Zinn of Morgantown; one brother, Austin Robert Wilhelm of Morgantown; one sister, Phyllis Arlene Metheny and Pat of Terra Alta; eight grandchildren, Ryan Harmon and Staci, Nicole Silbaugh and Blair, Angela Walls, Morgan Carr, Brandon Cosner and fiancée Shalyn, Joseph Walls and fiancée Emily, Alex Cosner, Ryker Harmon Zinn; four great-grandchildren, Clayton Harmon, Kinsley Harmon, Jaxson Cosner and Paisley Silbaugh and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, John “Jack” Richard Harmon and one sister, Barbara Louella Messenger.
Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 8 until the 11 a.m. service with Pastor Eric Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at the Terra Alta Cemetery.
