Charles William “Bill” Doyle, 71, of Millersburg, Ohio, and formerly of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2019, at the Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg, where he had resided for the past several years. Born in Point Marion on Sept. 16, 1948, he was a son of the late James David Doyle and Dorothy Michaux, and step-son of Sammy Harden.
He attended Albert Gallatin High School, and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, honorably serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the service, he worked at a nuclear power generation plant in Ohio. A former member of the V.F.W. Post 747 in Point Marion, Bill had helped for a time with the funeral detail at the post.
Surviving are three children, Chrissy, Brandon and Jennifer and their families; two brothers and their wives, Ralph and Mary Doyle of Uniontown, and James and Sunhwa Doyle of Tucson, Arizona, and their families.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, 6-8 p.m., on Sunday. From 10 a.m., Monday, until the 11 a.m. hour of service, with his brother, James, officiating. Honoring his wishes, interment, with full Military Honors accorded by the Point Marion Veterans Posts, will follow in the Little Arlington Section of Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
