Margaret B. “Peg” Poteet, 61, of Albright (Valley Point community), passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at her home.
The daughter of the late Homer C. and Joanne Richards Adams, she was born May 21, 1958, in Morgantown.
She was a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2523, and enjoyed Gospel music. She was known by many kids as “Aunt Peg.”
Peg is survived by five sisters, Nettie Ennis, of Winchester, Va., Patty Rosenberger and husband, Ronald, of Bruceton Mills, Annie Matthews, of Bruceton Mills, Judy Feather and husband, Dave, of Bruceton Mills, and Trudy Clark and husband, Danny, of Kingwood; two brothers and their spouses, Homer Adams Jr. and Tammy, of Albright, and Rich Adams and wife, Tammy, of Bruceton Mills; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rose, of Maryland; several nieces and nephews; and her special companion dog, “Baby.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Poteet; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Ennis and Gary Matthews.
Family and friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, and Friday, Oct. 4, at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Valley Point, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with the Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard and Pastor Mark Harris officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, in Valley Point.
