Bryan W. McMullen

Reverend Bryan W. McMullen, 87, of Grafton, passed away at Home Away From Home on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019.
He was born in Clearwater, Fla., on Nov. 15, 1931, a son of Clarence Earl and Mattie Hatcher McMullen.
Bryan is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Sanders McMullen, they were married June 15, 1952.
Bryan was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the Commerce Department in Washington D.C., he was a retired United Methodist pastor, serving many churches and worshiping with many families. Spending time and making memories with his family and friends was Bryans favorite past time.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ann (Pat) Mayle and Carol (Mark)Moore, of Grafton; three sons, Bryan (Lynn) McMullen, of Macon, Ga., Kenneth (Susan) McMullen, of Aliquippa Pa., and Ray (Lisa) McMullen, of Grafton; grandchildren, Brody Mayle, Anna (Brandon) Wood, Thursday (Michael) Minard, Joel (Barbara) McMullen, Katie (Justin) Vandevender, Erika (Corwyn) Dempsey, Cara McMullen, William Woodyard, Sarah McMullen, Jacob Moore, Ian McMullen, Joshua Moore and Leah McMullen; great-grandchildren, October and Stone Swiger, Penelope Wood, Declan Vandevender, Walden and Beatrice Dempsey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Williams and Ann McMullen; and one brother, C. Clyde McMullen.
A special thank you to Home Away from Home and WV Caring Hospice for all their excellent care and the love they showed him and his family.
A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd UMC at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, with the Rev. Matthew Dotson officiating.
