Violet Mae Holyfield, 85, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at Summa Hospital in Akron, Ohio, with her daughter by her side.
Violet was born Aug. 12, 1934, at home in Preston County. She is the daughter of the late Delbert Wayne and Jessie C. (Sigley) Funk.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St., from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, and from 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Bloom officiating. Interment will follow at Flag Chapel Cemetery in Etam.
