Victor Guy Martin, 71, of Kingwood, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at home peacefully.
He was born April 18, 1948, in Kingwood, a son of Opal M. Trickett Martin, of Kingwood, and the late Guy Earl Martin.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years and worked as an electrician for 30 years in the coal mines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and being a hobby farmer. His most joy came from spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Beate Sachwitz Martin; his two daughters, Nichole Irish and husband, Shannon, of Cramerton, N.C., and Angie Mayle and husband Timothy, of Fairview; a brother, Stephen Martin and a sister, Deborah Grimes and husband, Raymond, all of Kingwood; and six grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood from 2-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. At Mr. Martin’s request, Browning Funeral Home provided cremation services.
