A man who allegedly fled from police last week was in jail Tuesday.
Mark Allen Hart, 33, of Morgantown, was lodged in the North Central Regional Jail but had not yet been arraigned, so information was not available on what charges he faces.
Last week, Hart was accused of fleeing from Preston County deputies who spotted him walking along W.Va. 92 in Arthurdale. The deputy initiated the pursuit because Hart had outstanding warrants. Police said Hart stripped to his boxers and swam across a pond to get away. He allegedly stole a Subaru on CR Road, Arthurdale, and fled to Mon County. State Police recovered the car on Cobun Creek Road.
