Leonard Andrew “Leo” Konchesky, 72, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.
Leo was born in Morgantown on Feb. 28, 1947, a son of the late Joseph and Ann Konchesky.
He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1965. He was the owner of Leo’s Bar, where he always enjoyed talking and laughing with his
customers.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his son, Leonard “Leo” Konchesky; sisters, Lucille Fox, Veronica Campbell;
and brothers, Donald Konchesky and Robert “Bob”
Konchesky.
Leo is survived by his daughter, Tatiana Denning (Michael); grandson, Jacob, of Richmond, Va.; daughter, Jill Keck (Wes Wahlin); and grandchildren Elise, Camille and Davin, of Sammamish, Wash. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family of Leo would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care of Leo in his final days. The family would also like to thank and acknowledge Leo’s personal caregiver Tina Shumaker, for her wonderful care and support of Leo during the last year.
Honoring Leo’s wishes, cremation was arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home and interment followed at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, with the Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati officiating.
