Roy Burnett Jenkins Jr., 62, of Grafton, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born June 14, 1957, in Winchester, Va., a son of the late Roy Burnett Jenkins.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Lee Jenkins, of Ridgeway. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Scott Jenkins, they were married May 4, 1984.
Roy was graduated from WVU in 1996 with a degree in history. He served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Shack Neighbor House Board of Directors in Pursglove. He was self employed. He was an avid football fan. Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, the television was tuned to football. He loved the Mountaineers and the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by two sons, Roy B. Jenkins III, of Grafton, Kyle M. Jenkins, of Weston; three daughters, Sarah Newbraugh and husband, Michael, Marianne Jenkins, Caitlin Jenkins, all of Grafton; three grandchildren, Michael Newbraugh Jr., Corbin Newbraugh and MacKenzie Newbraugh, all of Grafton; one sister, Pamela Jane Brown, of Ridgeway; three brothers, Jeffrey Scott Jenkins, of Inwood, Robin Lynn Jenkins, of Hedgesville, Christopher Scott Jenkins, all of Winchester, Va.
A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at a later date.
