On June 24, 1935, the sun rose with the birth of Barbara Jane Casteel Foster in Albright, and on Sept. 6, 2019, the sun set with her passing in Morgantown.
She was the last surviving child of the late Eaf Casteel and Iva Thomas Casteel. Barbara was a graduate of Morgantown High School and retired from Mylan Pharmaceuticals. She enjoyed gambling, playing cards, bingo and taking trips to Atlantic City. She also enjoyed helping with Animal Friends Rescue, going to yard sales cooking and watching old western movies.
Surviving her are her children, Stephen Foster, of Morgantown. and Sharon Woodall (Wayne), of Morgantown; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Foster Jr.; a son, John P. Foster III; and 11 siblings.

Visitation will be at Dering-Henson Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Goshen Road, Morgantown.
