PARKERSBURG — The Morgantown High volleyball team split two matches to open its season Wednesday at Parkersburg South.
The Mohigans beat the Patriots 2-0 (25-13, 25-22) to open the night. Alayna Corwin had seven kills; Sage Halbritter had four kills and three aces; Emily Goldcamp had three kills; Asia Halbritter had seven digs; and Mahalie Moser had five digs.
In the second match, MHS fell to Warren (Ohio) 2-0 (25-23, 26-24). Corwin had seven kills and six digs; Sage Halbritter had four kills; Grace Washburn had three kills; Asia Halbritter had 10 digs; and Brooke Lyons had three aces.
The Mohigans (1-1) will host John Marshall at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
