Sills doesn’t make 53-man roster with Bills

BUFFALO, N.Y. — David Sills V, who picked up the game-winning reception in the Buffalo Bills’ preseason Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings, did not make the 53-man roster.

Cole Beasley and Isaiah McKenzie (slot), Zay Jones and Andre Roberts (right receiver) and John Brown and Robert Foster (left receiver), made the cut. Beasley, Jones, and Brown are listed as starters in their respective spots.

Sills went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft after a moderate combine, and was signed by the Bills as a free agent once the final round had closed. He was working toward a left receiver spot, but had a disappointing showing in the preseason.

It is unknown if he will report to the practice squad or if another team is looking to add him to their roster. In three seasons at WVU, Sills caught 132 passes for 2,097 yards and 25 touchdowns.
