William “Pete” Edward Moury, 63, of Tunnelton, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at his residence with family by his side.
He was born Aug. 31, 1955, in Lorain, Ohio, son of the late Carl Richard and Juanita Payne Moury.
Pete graduated from Brookside High School, Class of 1974. He retired as a machinist for Invacare in Elyria, Ohio, with over 40 years of service, and also he worked on the Merchant Marine ships. He was a blacksmith and he loved making knives, was an avid bow hunter and enjoyed gold panning, looking for treasure. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Pete is survived by two daughters, Erin Nicole Collins and companion, Ray Le Von, of Corbin, Ky. Kristen Michelle Moury, of Tunnelton; three granddaughters, Faith Elizabeth Collins, Mariah Eve Collins and Hayley Marie Moury; one grandson, Paxton Jeremiah Collins; longtime companion, Katherine Balmert, of Oberlin, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Patterson Moury in 2004; one son, Carl Richard Moury II in 1983; and one sister, Sharon Marie Moury Parker in 2011.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave., Newburg, from 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, until the celebration of life service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Rotha Hall officiating.
