Larry Allen Haines, 69, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1949, in Morgantown, a son of the late Edgar A. Haines and Virginia Davis Haines.
He was a self employed contractor who worked in Morgantown and in Naples, Fla., for many years. Larry was a lover of life and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his two dogs, Asher and Sophie. Larry graduated from University High School in 1967.
He is survived by his fiancée, Michele Herring, of Morgantown; a son, Bryan Haines, of Naples; a daughter, Rachel Haines, of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, John Haines; two sisters; Sherri Haines Blue and Suzann Haines Bane; a daughter-in-law, Jane Haines, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey and Zach Haines, of Charlotte, Myles Heiskell, Connor Heiskell and Emilia Heiskell, of Charlotte, Elizabeth, Reagan and Cooper Haines, of Morgantown; and stepchildren, Daniel Smith, Carly Herring and Casey Herring.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a son LJ Haines; a daughter-in-law, Amy Barill Haines; and a brother, Kenny Haines.
Visitation will be at Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church, Westover, from 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, until the noon service with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating.
