Glenna Jane (Snyder) Daugherty

Glenna Jane (Snyder) Daugherty, 78, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Mapleshire Nursing Home, in Morgantown, ending a long battle with COPD and cancer.
Fuzz, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Morgantown, oldest daughter of the late Samuel (Sam) Lawrence Snyder and Flora Violet (White) Snyder.
Glenna was 1958 graduate of Morgantown High School. She was at the forefront of the new computer age, learning IBM programming language on the job at Sterling Faucet and then many years at WVU. She continued programming with companies in Dayton, Ohio, GM, NCR and Computer Science Corp., before moving to North Carolina working for Sarah Lee and Wachovia Banks.
Glenna was an avid golfer and dabbled with tennis in her active years. She enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening and dancing. She was a strong supporter of her children, grandchildren and proudly raising her great-grandson, Cayden Scott Price.
In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her late husband of 33 years, Larry J Daugherty; her daughter, Brenda Stamper; two sisters, Judith Martin and Dianne Pyle, as well as a brother-in-law, Robert Pyle.
She is survived by son, Jeffery Kramer and wife, Michelle, of Clarksburg; sister, Sharon Kay Smith and husband, Rod, of Morgantown; grandson, Jeffery Kramer II and wife, Abrahanna and Tyler Kramer, all of Morgantown, Amanda Demeter, of Wilmington, N.C., and Brian Price, of North Carolina; six great-grandchildren as well as five nieces, all of Morgantown.
A special thank you is extended to WV Caring Hospice and the wonderful staff at Mapleshire for the loving care and support they provided in Glenna’s final days.
At Glenna’s request, no public services are planned, and inurnment will be held privately in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
