Howard William Messinger, age 65, Morgantown, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 25, 2019 after a battle with cancer.
Born in Ceredo, he was the youngest son of the late William and Sarah Messinger.
Survivors include his siblings, David Messinger and wife, Judy, of Danvers, Mass., Paulette Smith and husband, Roger, of Morgantown, Marilyn Dunlap and husband, Jim, of Glen Rock, Pa., and Ronald Messinger of Morgantown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long-time canine companion, Spirit.
Professional services were provided by Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover / Morgantown.
A casual ‘Remembering Howard’ memorial gathering sponsored by his immediate family will be held in Morgantown at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.
