Donald E. Miller

Donald E. Miller, 86, of Valley Point, died Friday, June 28, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

The son of the late T. E. Miller and Alga Hartman Miller, Donnie was born on April 27, 1933, in Crab Orchard Community, on Coal Lick Road.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Donnie was known as the “Grader Man” as he enjoyed running a grader for the Department of Highways and for Patriot Coal. He took great pride in pulling ditches and making roadways smooth.

He served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and was on several boards associated with the church. He loved his church and his church family and will be missed by all who knew him. He finished the last leg of his earthly journey and would be very pleased to have everyone follow him on his heavenly journey.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanie Miller, whom he married on Oct. 25, 1953; two sons and their spouses, T.R. and Marcia Miller and Jeff and Wanda Miller; two granddaughters and their spouses, Missy and Major Upton and Misty and Jeremy Davis; two grandsons, T.J.
