Lillie Grace Nicholson Jenkins, 93, of Summers School Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Morgantown, daughter of Timothy Marshall and Anna McDonald Nicholson.
Miss Lillie worked at Morgan Shirt Factory and WVU Towers and was a homemaker for many years.
Lillie was a member of the Beulah Free Methodist Church and later Nicholson Chapel. Miss Lillie loved the Lord with all her heart and was strong in the faith. She believed in the power of prayer and would pray with anyone at any time. For the last 13 years, Lillie made her home with her sister, Mary, who cared for her with compassion and dignity.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Jenkins and wife, Marlene, of Pentress, and Ken Jenkins and companion, Janine Parker, of Courtland, Va.; three sisters, Anna “Mary” McMillen, Glenda Corob (Bill), Mildred “Winnie” Ruble (Charlie), all of Morgantown; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Anna Nicholson; husband, George T. Jenkins; three sons, Timothy Jenkins, Danny Jenkins and Robert Keith Jenkins; four brothers and four sisters.
Family will receive friends at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Friday. She will lie in repose at Nicholson Chapel Church from 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, until the 1 p.m. service with the Rev. Kenny Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
