Linzy Burge, 91, of the Preston Country Club, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Preston Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 20, 1927, in Albright, a son of the late Elzy Shannon and Isa Rebecca (Bolyard) Burge.
He was a graduate of Kingwood High School and attended Potomac State College. In addition to owning and operating Lewis and Burge Inc. for 64 years, he was a member of Preston Lodge 90, the Morgantown Shrine Club and served on the board of directors of Clear Mountain Bank.
He is survived by one son, Kevin Burge, of Whetsell Settlement; daughter, Melanie Burge, of Kingwood; daughter, Roxanne McComas and husband, Bill, of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Jennifer Jurosco and husband, Josh, of Morgantown, Lauren Larew and husband, Royce, of Kingwood; and one great-grandchild, Ryan Larew, of Kingwood.
Linzy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcelle G. Burge; eight brothers and two sisters.
In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service.
