Fredric Michael “Mike” Allman

Fredric Michael “Mike” Allman, 49, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday morning, June 12, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family, after losing his courageous battle with cancer, that he so vividly fought so hard against.
He was born Feb. 28, 1970, in Parkersburg, the son of Fredric Michael Allman I and M. Rosalie Ayers Allman, of Weston.
Mike was self-employed as a contractor who took heart in his work and was very generous and willing to help out anyone in need. Mike had a love for dogs which meant the world to him and would go out of his way to rescue one if needed. He also loved spending time with his friends and living life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted and loving girlfriend, Mindy Bernoski; her daughter, Lindsy Bernoski, and their dog, that was Mike’s best friend and co-pilot, Peggy. Also surviving are three sisters, Anne Jett and husband, Joe, of Lost Creek, Nancy Lipps and husband, Jason, of Weston, and Merrile Allman, of Weston; nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Miranda Jett, Jay Terhardt, Hunter Lipps, Tyson Lipps, Kyrston Lipps, Stacy Groves and Kayla Vincent; as well as several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ellen Corder Allman; maternal grandparents, Michael Ayers and Rhoda Mann Ayers; his uncle, Clyde B. Allman, as well as his three dogs, which were his life, Shorty, Lucky and Old Momma.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Monika Holbein and her staff, Dr. Jame Abraham (Cleveland Clinic) and Amedisys Home Health Care, especially nurses, Sara, Lauren, Emily and Anita, for the care they provided for Mike.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be at Dering-Henson Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, until the noon memorial service with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Mike’s memory to Pet Helpers or any animal shelter of your choice.
