Thomas Franklin Edwards, 66, of Tunnelton, died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at his home. Thomas was born November 30, 1952, Cambridge, Ohio, a son of Virginia May (Kenner) Edwards of Worthington, and the late Franklin James Edwards. He was a 1971 graduate of Fairmont High School and a graduate of the recruit training at the Naval Training Center, in Great Lake. He retired as a Forman/permission man for Asplundh. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and going to classic car shows. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Belle (Knotts) Edwards; two sons, Eric Thomas Edwards, of Tunnelton, Franklin James Edwards, of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Melissa Danielle Edwards and Amanda Leighann Edwards, both of Colo.; five brothers, Dennis D. Edwards, Albert L. Edwards, both of Elkhart, Ind., Donald L. Edwards, Michael R. Edwards, both of Worthington, Jeffrey J. Edwards, of Lancaster, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Anthony Thomas Edwards and Grayson Leigh Edwards. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward A. Edwards; one sister, Dorrena M. Harris. Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, from 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, until 1 p.m. the hour of the funeral service with the Reverend Kelly Gamble officiating.
