Gracie Margaret Drake, 89, of Westover, passed away at Mon Health Medical Center on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
Gracie was born Dec. 24, 1929, to the late Ralph and Mary Davis Eddy.
Gracie was a homemaker who was devoted to the care of her family. Her greatest joy was found spending time with her family and baking, passing recipes down to her grandchildren. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Cole (Brian), of Morgantown, and Linda Brosky (John), of Westover; son, Clayton Paul Drake Jr. (Judy), of Greensboro, Pa.; son-in-law, John Stockett; grandchildren, Angela Anderson, Tony Gutta (Gretchen), Brandon Cole, John Bohon (Tonya), Julie Maust (Brent), John Stockett III (fiancée Bryanna), William Stockett (Jessica), Sarah Small (Eric), Rachel Brosky, John Matthew Brosky and Clayton Paul Drake III; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Odra Mitchell (Marion) and Karen Mitchell; and a brother, Kyle Eddy.
In addition to her parents, Gracie was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Paul Drake Sr. in 2004; daughter, Kathy Stockett; sister, Helen DeMent; and brothers, Jesse Eddy, Dale Eddy, Earl Eddy, Glen Eddy and Carl Eddy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gracie’s memory to Riverside United Methodist Church, 336 Monongahela Ave., Westover, WV 26501.
Friends and family may gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue at Olive United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastors Jim Weber and John Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Cemetery.
