“Sam” Earl Wayne Pyles

“Sam” Earl Wayne Pyles, 59, of Fairmont Road, Morgantown, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1959, in Louisville, Ky., a son of the late Earl O. Pyles and Ella Frances Ballah Pyles.
Sam worked as a cook at Pop A Top Tavern and T. J.’s Tavern. He loved listening to music, watching sports and following NASCAR.
Sam is survived by his wife of 40 years, Edna Chenoweth Pyles; four daughters, Martha Pyles (Rusty), Samantha Pyles, Teresa Sukeruksa (Chai), and Heather Cole (Marc), all of Morgantown; one son, Jonathan Pyles, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Katlyn Sue Pyles, Christopher Lee Pyles, Hailey Jo Brown-Pyles, Breanna Kittle, Brittany Kittle, Skyleigh Pyles, Jaiden Sukeruksa, Alexis Chavera, Chai Sukeruksa and Natasha Sukeruksa; and great-grandchildren, Domonyc Jackson, Legend Wayne Jackson, Aubrey Chavera, Elijah Kittle, Cameron Jackson, Dustin Jackson, Ryder Jackson, Sunitsa Sukeruksa and Arsono Sukeruksa.
Sam was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Mae Pyles and Betty Jo Pyles; one granddaughter, Abigail Sky Pyles; and a son-in-law, Rodney “Buddy” Chavera.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, until the 7:30 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home for assistance with funeral expenses.
