Stephen Strader, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Buckhannon on April 1, 1951, the son of the late William S. Strader, Sr. and Emily “Bonnie” (Lane) Strader.
Stephen graduated from Morgantown High School Class of 1969, and then joined the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. After this he went on to become a remodeling contractor and served the greater Morgantown area with Goldline Construction for over 30 years.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Strader; his sons, Doug Strader and his wife Amy, of Greensboro, N.C., Huston Strader and his wife Jessica, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ainsley, Blue, Olivia, and Madison; siblings, Jeanne Strader, of Morgantown, Perry Strader, of Clarksburg, William “Bill” Strader, Jr., of Bucyrus, Ohio; and his best friend, Scott Davis.
He was preceded in death by his father, William S. Strader, Sr.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation services were provided by Hastings Funeral Home/Omega Crematory and he will be inurned at the West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date.
