Dottie Madeline Ennis, 89, of Masontown, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at her home.
She was born in Kingwood on May 28, 1930, a daughter of Okey Thomas and Ethel (Shears) Thomas.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She loved spending time with her family and attending family reunions. She loved sewing and retired from the Morgan Shirt Factory after 47 years of service. She attended the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Dottie is survived by one son, Robert S. Ennis Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Masontown; five daughters, Diana Taylor and husband, Albert, of Masontown, Sandy Wiles and husband, Gary, of Morgantown, Linda McCloud and husband, David, of Masontown, Libby Cress and husband, Rick, of Masontown and Carlie Lambert and husband, Jay, of Aurora; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Shaffer, of Ohio; and a special friend, Janet Thomas.
She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband of 56 years, Robert Samuel Ennis Sr.; seven brothers, Bruce Thomas, Robert Thomas, Junior Thomas, Harry Thomas, Alvie Thomas, Willard Thomas and Georgie Thomas; and a sister, Virginia Thomas.
Friends may call at Field Funeral Home, in Masontown, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Masontown Cemetery.
