MORGANTOWN — The Morgantown Police Department is investigating an assault that happened on the Pleasant Street Bridge on Monday morning.
The victim spoke with officers at Mon Health Medical Center who told them he was attacked by three people while walking towards South Park at about 3:45 a.m. The victim had minor lacerations on his chest, face and arms and could not provide a description of the suspects, according to Deputy Chief Eric Powell.
Officers searched the area around the alleged attack but did not find anyone in the area or evidence of the attack, Powell said.
Detectives are assigned to the case and conducting an investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the MPD Detectives Division at 304-284-7454.
