Roy Lee Martin, 84, of Kingwood, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Pine Ridge, with loving family by his side.
He was born April 22, 1935, in Fellowsville, a son of the late Dell and Hazel Martin.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was a laborer and employed at J.W. Ruby Turkey Farm. He enjoyed horseshoes, watching wrestling, lottery tickets, and just sitting on his porch.
Roy was a loveable man loved by everyone; especially his daughter, Kathy Collins; son-in-law, Tom Collins; and his two grandsons, Brian Collins and wife Caroline and Cody Collins and wife, Brooklyn, who loved him very much. He is also survived by his stepson, Donald Dalton; his daughter, Pamela Murray and husband, Bernie, all of Morgantown; a brother, David Martin, of Gladesville; a sister, Joy Eagle, of Fellowsville; seven other grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Iris Louise Haught Martin; three brothers; his sister; two stepsons; a grandson; and great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, until the 1 p.m. funeral hour with Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
