Dottie Lou Moore

Dottie Lou Moore, 77, of Daybrook, was called to her eternal home Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Dot was born in Daybrook on July 28, 1941, to the late Estle Everett Wilson and Ocie Mae Wilson.

Dot worked for many years in Admissions and Records for the West Virginia University College of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Dental Hygiene. Although she enjoyed her job and what it provided for her family, her greatest love came from her community in Daybrook, where she had resided her entire life. She enjoyed visiting with those she loved, attending the Daybrook Methodist Church when she was able, and once served as a director for the Clay District Fair. She also enjoyed reading, but most of all, she loved just being “home” in Daybrook to host her family when they came home from Kentucky.

Dot leaves behind her daughter, Cindy Lou Donaldson (Paul), of Walton, Ky.; stepchildren, Chuck Moore (Trish), Kendall Moore (Michelle), Jason Moore (Kara) and Jo Jo Finch; her grandchildren, Kilee Everette Donaldson, Benjamin Riley Donaldson and Kelsey Eden Donaldson, nine stepgrandchildren; brothers, Darrell Wilson (Kay) and Dean Wilson, both of Daybrook; nephews, Chris, Buckey and Bart Wilson; a lifelong and dear friend, Judy Eddy; and a host of wonderful and caring neighbors and friends who will dearly miss her.

In addition to her parents, Dot was met at Heaven’s gate by her husband, Wilburt “Jade” Moore; two infant sons; and her former husband and father of her daughter, Mike Reesman.

Family and friends may gather at the Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Road, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Fred Eddy II officiating. Dot will be laid to rest near her infant sons at Wilson Cemetery in Daybrook.
McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be to Daybrook Methodist Church, 2552 Daybrook Road, Fairview, WV 26570, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
