Oleta Rohr Martin, 99, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1920, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Homer Philip and Veta “Gertrude” (Simons) Rohr.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clarksburg and an Associate Member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a 60 year member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Morgantown #35 Order of the Eastern Star and a Life Member of the Mon Health Auxiliary. She was an avid bridge player, gardener, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. In her free time, she enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid WVU basketball fan.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Martin Clonch and her husband, Robert L. Clonch, Jr., of Morgantown; granddaughter, Andrea Clonch Chrzaszcz and her husband Cody Chrzaszcz, of Morgantown; nephew, Neal Rohr and his wife Rhea, of Buckhannon; and great-nieces and nephew, Jeff, Michele, Heather, and Suzanna. She is also survived by other extended family whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Marshall Martin; and siblings, Evelyn R. Lewis, Gerald Rohr, and Retha Rohr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mon Health Medical Center Foundation, 1200 JD Anderson Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505 with “The Angel Fund for Cancer” on the memo line.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. Visitation will continue at Wesley United Methodist Church, 503 N. High St., Morgantown, from 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Randall Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport.
