Timothy Michael Tucker, 57, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at his home, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 1, 1962, in Fairmont, he was a son of Jess and Martha (Hurley) Tucker, of Fairmont.
After graduating from Fairmont Senior High school, Tim enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following his service in the military, Tim was employed as a welder building submarines in Newport News, Va., and served as union organizer and business manager of Local 814 AFL-CIO in Morgantown. He was employed as a custodian at the high school with the Albert Gallatin School District.
A Methodist by faith, he was a member of the American Legion, Post 499 in Point Marion, and an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by the love of his life, Renee Hubeaut Tucker; his children of whom he was so proud, Michael Tucker, Molly Tucker and Nathaniel Brown; and grandchildren, Nova Kenner and Quinten Riley. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Tucker and wife, Mikyong and Robert Tucker, all of Fairmont; his mother-in-law, Nancy Hubeaut; brothers-in-law, Martin Hubeaut (Sue) and Patrick Hubeaut (Bethany); and sister-in-law, Denise Stewart (Jimbo); nieces, Laura, Sarah and Michelle Tucker, Bethany Chicarelli (Josh), Rowan Chicarelli and Mila Hubeaut; and nephews, Brad Hubeaut and Kage Churby.
The family will receive friends at Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, until the 11 a.m. service. Private interment, with military honors, will be held at a later date at Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
