William “Billy” “Scob” D. Spiker, Jr. 51, passed away at home on April 25, 2019, surrounded by his family as he lost a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 10, 1967, in Morgantown. He was the only son of Bill and Diane Spiker, Sr.
Billy had a love and passion for riding his Harley motorcycles. He was planning his dream trip to Sturgis, S.D., this coming August. He had many talents which included woodworking, blacksmithing, and making custom knives. All who knew him knew he was also a collector of many things.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his wife and best friend of 34 years, Carla (Gabbert) Spiker; an amazing daughter, Ashley Adams, who will always be his little girl and a son-in-law, Benjamin Adams, who was more like a son; two beautiful granddaughters, Makiya “Peanut” and Myla “Bubbles” Adams, who were his only sunshine in his darkest days. His family all resides in Kingwood. Also a brother-in-law, Rodney Gabbert, of Morgantown.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dave and Arlene Molisee, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Buck and Edna Spiker; and in-laws, Daniel and Mary Gabbert.
The family would like to thank Dr. Heiskel and his nurse, Carla, the nurses at Zelda Stein Cancer Center in the Infusion Dept, Dr. Saunders, his nurse, Jean and all the staff at Mon Health. Special thanks to the nurses at WV Caring, who were all amazing.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and from noon on Saturday, May 4, until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Vicki Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood.
To honor one of his last wishes, he will be riding in a motorcycle trike hearse for his last ride. He would love for you to ride with him on your bikes.
