WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Oklahoma State completed a dominant three days at The Greenbrier, winning the Big 12 golf championship by 11 strokes.
The Cowboys, who won their first league crown since 2011, finished the 54- hole event at 13 under.
TCU’s Hayden Springer (-8) claimed the individual title by a stroke over OSU’s Viktor Hovland. Cole Hammer of Texas and David Ravetto of TCU were two shots back. Springer’s 64 on Friday matched the Big 12’s first-round record.
West Virginia finished 10th overall at 24-over par.
The Mountaineers hope to make the 81-team NCAA field that will be revealed Wednesday.
Matthew Sharpstene, West Virginia’s top individual, rode a final-round 66 to finish even for the Big 12 championship in 13th place.
Etienne Papineau tied for 28th at 6 over, and Max Sear tied for 39th at 10 over.
In 42nd, Logan Perkins shot 12 over.
