MORGANTOWN — Three men face criminal charges related to selling drugs, after a Wednesday morning raid in downtown Morgantown.
Mishawn Trevell Gordon, 31, of Grosse Point, Mich., and Renard Ernest Ervin Jr., 25, of Detroit, Mich., are both charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Louis Valentine, 25, is charged with a single count of the offense.
Valentine’s criminal complaint did not indicate where he is from.
Sgt. R. Jiles, Mon Metro Drug Task Force commander, said the task force, with the Morgantown Police Department and Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, searched three apartments at 315 High St. about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The three apartments are next to each other and the three men are associated with each other, Jiles said.
Police seized about $17,000 in cash, 340 oxycodone pills, 420 MDMA pills, 48 Xanax pills and 12 grams of heroin, between the three apartments, Jiles said. The oxy is worth about $12,000, the ecstasy is valued at about $4,200, the Xanax is about $240 and the heroin is roughly $2,400.
Packaging materials and a ledger were also found, and the heroin was pre-packaged, according to criminal complaints.
The original search warrant listed Gordon and Ervin and surveillance of the building prior to the search showed Valentine was distributing drugs, court documents say.
Bond was set at $20,000 for Valentine and $50,000 for Gordon and Ervin by Magistrate Tim Pocius. All three men are being held in North Central Regional Jail.
