Larry Edward Turner II, 50, of Tunnelton, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 17, 1968, in Morgantown, a son of Larry E. Turner and wife, Carolyn, of Kingwood and Kay Hauser Bernatowicz and husband, John, of Tunnelton.
He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Larry worked as a Pit Master and co-owner of Off the Grid Restaurant and Pizzeria. He severed in the US Air Force, traveled the world with the Eagles System that resupplied US Army Bases. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Mountaineers.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Buddy Turner and wife, Tina, Slade Turner and wife, Mindy and Lance Turner and wife, Leah, all of Kingwood; two sisters, Amy Bernatowicz and Nicki Curry and husband, David, all of Tunnelton; his fur baby, Hank; special friends and business partner, Lisa Riley and husband, John, of Tunnelton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Geraldine Hauser; his paternal grandparents, Denzil (Zip) and Ruby Turner and Grandma Stella, Stella Bernatowicz.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, April 22. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Sebastian Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, with Father Andrew Switzer as celebrant. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded.
