Jeffery Thad Crowe, 51, of Cumming, Ga., formerly of Reedsville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, from complications of his auto immune disorder, Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Thad was born in Charlotte, N.C., on May 30, 1967, a son of the late Glenn Devon Crowe and Linda (McWilliam) McGinn.
He attended West Preston High School. He was an avid fisher and outdoorsman, and was a lifelong fan of all sports, but most importantly of his Mountaineers. In his free time, Thad volunteered at North Fulton Hospital, of Alpharetta, Ga., on the patient advisory committee, and was always willing to open up about his disease in the name of educating others.
Thad is survived by his loving wife, Kim Bryant, of Cumming, Ga.; two sons, Devon Elias Crowe and Noah Hunter Crowe, both of Beeville, Texas; sister, Amy Holcomb, of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Ryan Crowe, of Atlanta; uncle, Charlie Crowe and his wife Jane, of Charlotte, N.C.; aunt, Janet Gauer and her husband Ron, of Englewood, Ohio; cousins, Brenda Frazier and Charlie Crowe Jr., of Charlotte, N.C.; cousins, Brian Gauer, of Englewood, Ohio and Dana Heronimus, of Spencer, Iowa; lifelong friends, Don Clingerman Jr, of Reedsville, and Emily Lindley Dalton, of Dallas; and numerous fellow AS Warriors and chronic pain sufferers across the globe who supported him throughout his illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Devon Crowe; his grandmother, Martha Crowe; and his beloved cousin, Jenny Hallas.
Family and friends may call at the Reedsville United Methodist Church for a Celebration of Life from noon on Saturday, April 20, until the 2 p.m. memorial service with Pastor Brian Long officiating.
