Carson C. “Bud” Chenoweth

Carson C. “Bud” Chenoweth, 87, of Millwood, passed away April 14, 2019, at Ravenswood Care Center surrounded by his children.

He was born June 26, 1931, in Morgantown, the son of the late Christopher Carrol Chenoweth and Opal Hunt White.

Bud retired from Century Aluminum after 40-plus years of service where he proudly served as president, vice-president and chairman of the Grievance Committee for the United Steelworkers of America Local Union 5668.
After his retirement, Bud’s pleasures included spending time with his family, friends and his neighbors on Millcreek, who were like family to him. He also enjoyed pontoon boating on the Ohio River, hunting and fishing with his buddies at his Hardy County camp, golfing, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bud served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; and son-in-law, Jennings “Jinky” Davis.

Bud is survived by his children, son, Carson “Buddy” Chenoweth (Jamie), of Millwood; daughters, Karen Davis (Kenny Carte), of Ravenswood, and Kelly Teets (Mark), of Kingwood; grandchildren, Markie, Haley, Mattie, Corey and Colby, and Matthew Carte, whom he considered a grandson; great-grandchildren, Crue and Haven; brother, Kellis (Skip) White, of Indian Trail, N.C.; cousin, Billie Leach, of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Following his wishes, there will be no service.
