KINGWOOD — Preston High struggled to do much right against Morgantown, committing five errors and allowing 19 runs in just three innings.
Brooke Pyles got the win for the Mohigans. She pitched all three innings and allowed two runs on two hits and got seven strikeouts. Pyles also finished the game 2-for-2 at the plate.
Alexandria Watson had a big day in Morgantown’s lineup, going 4-for-4 at the plate with a double and five RBIs. Breonna Marietta finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Lillian Kooser finished the game 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Brianna McKenzie finished the game 3-for-4.
