MORGANTOWN — Shoppers were lined up out into the West Virginia National Guard Readiness Center parking lot Thursday morning as Christian Help kicked off its Spring 2019 Consignment Sale.
Kellen Falkenstine, volunteer sale organizer, said the sale includes around 25,000 items provided by more than 150 consigners.
Sold items generate revenue for both Christian Help and the consigners, many of whom are also among the volunteers who help pull the sale together.
Falkenstine said the volunteers will put an additional 3,000 items out on the floor for day two — which runs from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday.
All remaining items will be reduced to half price from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Saturday.
As for what’s on offer, Falkenstine said the sale is a bit of a catch-all for kid stuff.
“I say we’re a one-stop-shop for all your kid’s needs,” she said. “We have clothing for boys and girls from newborn up to size 16. We have toys, books, bikes, large outdoor toys, baby gear, equipment and furniture, shoes, accessories. Just about anything you could possibly need.”
Christian Help holds two consignment sales each year, one in the spring and one in the fall.
