Elizabeth Faye (Wimer) Annonio, 88, of Morgantown, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on January 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Roscoe Nestor and Josephine Ellen (Colaw) Wimer. She lived her early childhood in Reedsville before moving to Morgantown, where Faye lived her entire life. She was formally employed at Sterling Faucet, Peerless Laundry and took pride in working in her home.
Faye enjoyed spending time with family, especially large family gatherings when she had the opportunity to prepare a wonderful meal for 25 family members. She loved when the house became alive with, at times four generations of family, sharing stories of the “old days” and current events.
She leaves her husband of 68 years, Donald Louie Annonio, Sr.; her two sons, Donald Louie Annonio, J.,r of Washington, Pa., and David Allen Annonio, Sr., of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Ashley Annonio Smelser, of Bunker Hill, Donald Louie Annonio, III, of Frederick, Md., Hillary Amber Annonio, of Hanover, Pa., and David Allen Annonio, Jr., of Morgantown; three great-grandchildren, Donald Louie Annonio IV, of Portage, Pa., Ross Smelser and Reese Smelser, both of Bunker Hill; her sister, Ellen Kay Wimer Hagadorn; one brother, Eugene Wimer; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, and from 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29, until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Kenny Reed officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery privately.
